Lapka Aleš
Born on September 17, 1970
He studied at Professor Martin Rajniš’s Architectural Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague from 1989 to 1997, and then worked for a year in the DA architectural studio (1992). He is a co-founder of Architectural Associates (1993) and has owned the ADR architectural studio, together with Petr Kolář, since 1996.
KOLÁŘ Petr
Born on October 24, 1967
He studied at Professor Martin Rajniš’s Architectural Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague from 1989 to 1996. Then he worked at Eva Jiricna Architects, Ltd., an architectural studio in London from 1990 to 1992. He is a co-founder of Architectural Associates (1993) and he has owned, the ADR architectural studio together with Aleš Lapka, since 1996.
ADR
A Czech architectural studio founded by Petr Kolář and Aleš Lapka. The studio specialises in construction and reconstruction projects, interiors, furniture design and organising exhibition stands. It compiles complete project documentation for individual orders to a high architectural and construction standard, from studies to technical solutions for details as well as providing professional supervision while the work is being carried out.
During the ten years of its existence, it has carried out over 50 projects in more than 10 countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East and America. Its clients include Rodop, Techo, the Czech Savings Bank, Anderson Consulting, ING Real Estate, Lufthansa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the National Gallery, Prague Castle Administration, ČSOB Leasing etc.
ADR s.r.o. is the co-creator of the „Concept Change“ system produced by TECHO, a.s. and the creator of the Focus range of desks (awarded the 2000 National Design Prize) as well as Horizont (awarded the 2000 Good Design Prize), Esprit and the low seating TECHO-Kubik. It also designed the TECHOCENTRE in Prague, Bratislava and Bucharest.
